Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about building stacks, mixing powders safely, and how SuppLogic works.
General
What is SuppLogic?
SuppLogic is a supplement stack builder and planning tool designed for biohackers, health optimizers, and DIY supplement enthusiasts. It helps you design custom stacks using powders or capsules and, most importantly, generates geometric dilution mixing plans to help you safely mix potent powders at home.
Who is SuppLogic for?
We built SuppLogic for people who take their supplementation seriously. If you:
- Want control over every ingredient and amount that goes into your body.
- Buy bulk powders to save money or avoid fillers.
- Want to create your own pre-workout, nootropic stack, or longevity protocol.
- Need a way to organize and track your complex supplement routines.
- Are concerned about safety and accuracy when mixing your own blends.
Then SuppLogic is definitely for you.
Does SuppLogic sell supplements?
No. We are a software tool to help you plan and manage the supplements you buy from other vendors. We do not sell any physical products.
Mixing & Safety
What is geometric dilution?
Geometric dilution is a pharmaceutical mixing method used to ensure that a small amount of a potent ingredient is evenly distributed throughout a larger amount of a base (or "carrier") powder.
Instead of dumping everything in a bucket and stirring (which creates "hot spots"), you mix the potent ingredient with an equal amount of carrier, blend thoroughly, then add an amount of carrier equal to the new total, and repeat. SuppLogic's Mixer generates these step-by-step instructions for you automatically.
Why do I need a mixing plan?
If you are mixing potent powders (like Caffeine or certain nootropics) where the active dose is very small (e.g., 200mg) compared to your scoop size (e.g., 5g), proper mixing is critical.
Without geometric dilution, you risk creating hot spots—accidental pockets of highly concentrated ingredients that can be dangerous. Our goal is to make safe supplement mixing accessible to everyone.
Why is it safer to mix a 30-day batch instead of single daily servings?
Every scale has some measurement error. When you weigh a very small amount of a potent ingredient (for example, 200mg of caffeine), that error is a much bigger percentage of the dose than if you weigh a larger amount (for example, 6,000mg for 30 days).
By mixing a multi-day batch and then distributing it evenly into a filler powder using geometric dilution, you effectively spread that one weighing error across many servings, instead of repeating a fresh error every day. This reduces the chance of a single scoop being accidentally very high or very low, as long as the mixture is homogeneous.
This does not protect you from major mistakes (like typing 60g instead of 6g), and it assumes you are using a suitable scale and following the mixing plan carefully. Always sanity-check your numbers before you start mixing.
What kind of scale do I need?
SuppLogic assumes you are using a digital scale with adequate resolution for the smallest single ingredient you plan to weigh.
- For ingredients in the hundreds of milligrams range (e.g. 500–1,000mg), a scale with at least 0.01g (10mg) resolution is a practical minimum.
- For more potent ingredients in the 20–200mg range, a scale with 0.001g (1mg) resolution is strongly recommended.
- If an ingredient dose is in the single-digit mg range or below, home mixing becomes risky. Those are better handled by professional compounding pharmacies, not DIY.
Regardless of resolution, your scale should be on a stable surface, regularly calibrated, and used in a draft-free environment. SuppLogic only helps with the math and mixing steps—you are responsible for making sure your equipment is appropriate for what you are doing.
How should I actually mix powders at home?
For the early steps, the best tool is a mortar and pestle. You can use a smooth ceramic bowl with a pestle. We do not recommend using just a spoon or spatula.
- Combine the ingredients according to our mixing plan and use the mortar and pestle to grind and press until the texture looks uniform.
Scrape sides if needed and continue to stir/grind even longer than feels necessary.
- This process doesn't just mix the powders, it also helps bring the particle sizes closer together. That's important because if you have a mix of very fine and larger grains, the larger particles tend to separate and concentrate near the top of your storage container over time.
- Avoid relying on just shaking a jar, a shaker bottle, or a kitchen blender as your main mixing method. They can create dust, leave material stuck in corners or on blades, and don't solve the particle size / separation issue.
- Use jar tumbling only as a gentle final step after you've followed the geometric dilution steps. The primary safety comes from following the mixing plan SuppLogic generates, not from shaking longer or harder.
In short: use a mortar-style grinding and pressing motion for the critical early steps, keep particle sizes as similar as you can, and treat the SuppLogic plan like a recipe—follow each step in order rather than improvising.
Is this medical advice?
Absolutely not. SuppLogic is a planning and organizational tool only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions or are taking medication. You are responsible for verifying the safety and dosage of your own ingredients.
Features & Community
Can I share my stacks?
Yes! You can publish your stacks to the community. Other users can view your stack, see the ingredients, and even "fork" it to create their own version based on your template. It's a great way to share knowledge and discover new protocols.
Is SuppLogic free?
Currently, SuppLogic is free to use. You can create stacks, generate mixing plans, and browse the community library without charge. In the future, we may introduce premium features for power users, but our core mission of safe mixing will always remain a priority.
Privacy
Is my data private?
We take your privacy seriously. Your private stacks are only visible to you. If you choose to publish a stack, it becomes visible to the community. We do not sell your personal data. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.
